A rack for supporting and transporting hockey sticks comprises a rectangular support structure having a top and a bottom and being generally flat and a number of clamp devices mounted on a front of this structure. The clamp devices are arranged in first and second spaced apart rows, the first mow located adjacent the top of the rack and the second row located adjacent the bottom. Each row has at least several clamp devices. These devices are capable of detachably holding a number of hockey sticks so that a handle of each stick is clamped at two, spaced apart locations and it extends perpendicular to the top of the rack. Preferably the rack is an open framework including parallel top and bottom frame members and connecting side frame members.
