ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hockey stick particularly made with a lap point between the handle and the blade to use wood of shorter length to make the handle, as compared to the hockey stick conventionally made with a tenon joint, and this to obtain a less expensive and simpler construction. The present hockey stick comprises a handle, a blade and a pair of lapping members, the handle includes opposite faces, a downwardly tapering lower end portion having opposite sides obliquely extending inwardly relative to the opposite faces respectively and forming an outer bottom edge, the blade includes opposite faces and an upwardly tapering upper end portion having opposite sides obliquely extending inwardly relative to the opposite faces respect- ively of the blade and forming an outer top edge extending along the outer bottom edge, and the pair of lapping members are adhered against the opposite sides of the handle and the blade.
