A hoist for granular materials, for receiving a load of such material at a loading point and for delivering such material to a delivery point, and having a frame, a pair of rails supported on the frame, a bucket movably supported on the rails, a drive system for moving the bucket, the rails defining at their upper ends a curved radiussed section oriented to cause the bucket to turn and pour the material therefrom.
