The invention is directed to a hold-down device for plate shears which can be pressed on a plate to be cut by a mechanically controlled, invariable displacement. The object of the invention is to provide a hold-down device whose contact pressing force is variable and which therefore enables a longer edge life, shorter displacements and, in turn, shorter switching times. According to the invention, this object is met in that the initial position of the hold-down device before the start of the displacement is adjustable.

L'invention concerne un support pour cisailles à tôle qui peut être repoussé sur une tôle à découper par une course commandée mécaniquement et non variable. Le problème à la base de l'invention consiste à créer un support dont la force de poussée peut être modifiée et qui permet ainsi une durée de vie plus longue et des courses plus courtes ainsi que des durées plus courtes de commutation. L'invention résout ce problème en ce que la position initiale du support peut être réglée avant le début de la course.
