Abstract of the Disclosure A holder for fitting a baseless lamp to a board comprises a hollow body into which one end of the baseless lamp is inserted, contacts provided on the hollow body for electrical connection to the board and to the lead lines of the inserted baseless lamp, and an annular engagement flange and a pair of engagement lugs which project from the periphery of the hollow body in locations axially spaced from each other so as to clamp the board therebetween thereby fixing the hollow body to the board, an inclined surface being formed on an end face of the paired engagement lugs so as to define projections which extend towards the annular engagement flange so as to be plastically deformed upon en- gagement with the board, and thus lock the holder to the board.
