A holder is provided for suspending a hollow vertical fabric or plastic louver from a carrier of a horizontally extending head rail of an architectural covering such as a vertical venetian blind. The holder comprises a male part which extends from the carrier and a separate female part. The female part has a horizontal top portion with a hole and two parallel, downwardly extending legs with detents. These detents extend toward each other and are adapted to be inserted through apertures in opposite sides of the hollow louver. The male part includes a downwardly extending lower portion, which is inserted and force fits within the hole in the horizontal portion of the female part.
