Title: HOLDER FOR BEVERAGE CONTAINER Inventor: JOHN MILNE ABSTRACT A holder for a beverage container for mounting on an inclined member, such as the handle shaft of a golf cart, moveable to describe an arc is disclosed. The holder includes a clamp assembly for mounting on the inclined member and having an integral mounting sleeve. A beverage container receptacle is provided for receiving and supporting a beverage container and includes an integral mounting pin to be slidably received by the sleeve, the mounting permitting pivoting of the receptacle about a horizontal axis perpendicular to a radius of the arc described by the inclined member. The mounting pin is located relative to the centre of gravity of the receptacle to cause the receptacle, and a beverage container located therein, to remain in a substantially upright orientation, irrespective of the orientation of the inclined member. A pair of receptacles may be provided for mounting on opposite sides of the clamp.
