Description

ABSTRACT A holder for Compact Disc and like cassettes in the form of a short rectangular-cross-section channel where one of the side flanges of the channel extends further from the base of the channel than the other to provide a main support face for a cassette which may be inserted into and held in the channel, the other, shorter, flange being dimensioned to overlap only the fixed edge part of the face of a cassette which has been provided with an opening flap hinged to the fixed part of the cassette so that the flap may be opened with out interference by the shorter flange of the holder, the holder, on its base side, remote from the channel flanges, being provided with a protrusion by which the holder may be securely held, the protrusion being provided with a cylindrical aperture, oriented perpendicular to the length of the channel and the large side of a held cassette, so that a plurality of holders may be stacked on a common shaft and pivoted, in the plane of held cassettes, with respect to each other, the inner face of the shorter flange being provided with a series of parallel ribs running lengthwise with respect to the length of the channel.
