ABSTRACT A holding belt arrangement is disclosed for persons sitting on a seat with a free back rest at the bottom, particularly for patients, physically disabled and children. A belt is looped in the form of a loop around the seat back with a vertical median plane and its ends are provided on opposite flat sides of the belt with burr-like fastening layers for fixing to one another. A belt is passed through the loon of the back rest belt between the back of the seat and the belt associated therewith and about the body of the person to be held and its end areas are provided with fastening means for fastening to one another. The back rest belt on its flat side which faces the back of the person to be held during use is provided with transverse- ly directed openings used for passing through shoulder and leg belts provided additionally to or in place of the body belt.
