ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Regarding a holding member for holding working elements of roller brushes, several such holding members are ar- ranged over the outer surface of the brush core in radial and axial distribution. The working elements of the rol- ler brushes are useful for treating traffic areas, es- pecially in order to remove, from their surfaces, coat- ings such as dirt, snow, ice, paint, abraded rubber, or the like. The working elements are so retained that they are pivotably movable with respect to the brush core about axes in parallel to the axis of rotation of the brush. Thus the working elements are attached to the holding members in the zone of a radially outwardly located head of the holding member.
