The resilient sleeve member defines an axially extending inner passage. The holdout device includes a core mounted in the inner passage of the sleeve member. The core defines a core passage to receive the elongate substrate and has at least first and second sections. The first and second sections are helicoidally wound and arranged in a supporting position such that the core maintains the sleeve member in a radially expanded condition. The first and second sections are arranged for relative telescoping movement from the supporting position to a releasing position to permit at least a portion of the sleeve member to radially contract from the radially expanded position to a radially recovered position.

La présente invention concerne un élément de manchon élastique définissant un passage interne s'étendant dans le plan axial. Le dispositif de retenue comprend un noyau monté dans le passage interne de l'élément de manchon. Le noyau définit un passage de noyau destiné à recevoir le substrat allongé et ayant au moins des première et seconde sections. Les première et seconde sections sont enroulées hélicoïdalement et disposées dans une position de support telle que le noyau maintient l'élément de manchon dans une position étendue dans le plan radial. Les première et seconde sections sont disposées de façon à pouvoir effectuer un mouvement télescopique relatif de la position de support à une position de relâchement permettant au moins à une partie de l'élément de manchon de se contracter dans le plan radial d'une position étendue dans le plan radial à une position de récupération dans le plan radial.
