ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hollow rectangular boom formed with four corner sections of identical cross section and plates interconnect- ing the corner sections is disclosed herein. Each of the corner sections is identical and is generally L-shaped in cross section with first and second legs each having a re- cess with adjacent pairs of corner sections being intercon- nected by flat plates received into the respective recesses and welded therein. The invention also resides in the method of assembling the various parts to form the hollow boom sections.
