[PROBLEMS] A hollow structure member having a certain air layer to improve heat insulating performance and buffering performance, and having a small volume when collapsed with a gas released. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] A hollow structure member has two sheet members (11, 12) constituting at least a part of an air- tight structure body and oppositely arranged and has an air- permeable sheet member (13) having air permeability and alternately bonded to opposite surfaces of the two sheet members (11, 12). The periphery of the sheet members (11, 12) is bonded and a gas supply opening through which a gas can be charged and discharged is provided.
