Abstract: HOMOGENEOUS LAUNDRY DETERGENT SLURRIES CONTAINING NONIONIC SURFACE-ACTIVE AGENTS A stable, homogeneous, aqueous detergent slurry is described containing nonionic surface-active agents. The slurry contains about 14 weight percent to 30 weight percent of a sodium polyphosphate, about 1 weight per- cent to 5 weight percent of an alkali metal hydroxide or alkali metal salt, a soluble anionic surface-active agent, a soluble nonionic surface-active agent which is an alcohol alkoxylate having an HLB value of 4 to 9, wherein sodium polyphosphate is present as insoluble particles having an average diameter of about 1 to about 10 microns, the anionic and nonionic surface-active agents are present in a weight ratio of about 6.7:1 to 1.35:1, and the total amount of surface active agents are from 13 weight percent to 20 weight percent.
