ABSTRACT Honeycomb floor panels for use in elevated floors or the like are disclosed. The honeycomb material is secured to a lower sheet and, opposite the sheet the honeycomb material is embedded in a layer of a settable material such as concrete which, when set, has substantial compressive strength. Upstanding walls extend around the edges of the panel connecting the sheet to the layer of settable material, which material provides the load bearing surface of the panel.
