ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hook device which facilitates safe handling opera- tion is constructed such that as any load heavier than a predeter- mined weight is applied thereto, an eccentric shaft carrying a pulley for suspension of the hook device is rotated, and thereby an appropriate load indicating means is actuated. A warning signal that the load is excessive may thus be given to an opera- tor.
