Un croc permettant de passer un cordage derrière ou autour d'un objet et, notamment, faire passer un cordage à travers d'une forme fermée telle que, par exemple, un barreau, un anneau, une charpente ou toute autre forme, inaccessible ou difficilement accessible par l'opérateur. Le dispositif de l'invention permet également de faire passer un câble de sécurité autour d'une branche d'un arbre, par exemple lors d'une opération d'élagage ou de chirurgie arboricole, ou bien de faire passer une amarre dans l'anneau d'une bouée ou d'un coffre pour amarrer un bateau. Il comporte une structure articulée, comprenant une fourche et une traverse, à laquelle on fixe une extrémité de la corde, pouvant pivoter en alternance sur deux axes en deux directions opposées.
