In a hook structure for a molded surface fastener, in an arbitrary cross section of each of a stem and a hook- shape engaging portion of a hook, the cross-sectional area is divided into front and rear side cross-sectional areas with respect to the center line of the hook, and the front side cross-sectional area is defined to be larger than the rear side cross-sectional area. Therefore, the neutral plane of the hook is shifted toward the front side of the stem and the inner side of the hook-shape engaging portion to a further extent than conventional to reduce possible tensile stresses in the front part of the stem and the inner part of the hook-shape engaging portion so that, as compared to the conventional hook made of the same resin quantity and having a substantially similar shape, the strength of the hook is increased sharply and, necessarily, both the front part of the stem and the inner part of the hook-shape engaging portion is increased in rigidity as compared to the other part and hence is difficult to deform, thus causing an increased strength as well as an increased engaging strength with a loop of a companion surface fastener.

Cette invention concerne la partie crochet d'une fixation à boucles et crochets moulés. Elle caractérisée par une section de la tige et du croc, choisie arbitrairement, qui est divisée en deux parties distinctes, une partie avant et une partie arrière par rapport à l'axe de symétrie du crochet, la première étant plus volumineuse que la seconde. Ainsi, la fibre neutre du crochet est décalée davantage vers l'avant de la tige et le côté intérieur du croc que dans les crochets conventionnels pour atténuer les contraintes de traction qui peuvent naître dans ces zones. Cela a pour effet de donner pour une même quantité de matière première (résine) et pour une forme sensiblement comparable, une résistance nettement supérieure, accompagnée nécessairement d'une rigidité accrue des parties correspondantes du crochet par rapport à son côté opposé. Le résultat est une solidité accrue et une plus grande force d'accrochage avec la partie à boucles de la fixation.
