A surface fastener molded of synthetic resin, comprises a substrate sheet, and a multiplicity of hook elements molded on at least one surface of the substrate sheet, each hook element having a hook body having a stem and a curved portion. Each of the hook elements has first and second reinforcing ribs projecting from oppo- site side surfaces of the hook body. The first reinforc- ing rib is greater in height than the second reinforcing rib. In the presence of the first and second reinforcing ribs different in height, compression stresses developed in the hook body are dispersed at two or more points when a companion engaging element is removed off the hook element.

La présente invention a pour objet une fermeture par contact fabriquée de résine synthétique moulée, laquelle comporte un substrat sous forme de feuille, ainsi qu'une multiplicité de crochets moulés recouvrant au moins la surface du substrat, chaque crochet comportant un corps, une tige et une extrémité incurvée. Chacun des crochets comporte une première et une deuxième nervures de renforcement saillant à chacune des surfaces opposées du corps du crochet. La première nervure de renforcement a une hauteur plus grande que celle de la deuxième nervure de renforcement. En vertu de la différence de hauteur entre la première et la deuxième nervures de renforcement, les contraintes de compression générées à l'intérieur du corps du crochet sont dispersées en deux points au moins et plus lors de l'arrachement de l'élément correspondant de la fermeture par contact.
