ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A street sweeper has a hopper rotatable about a single axis spaced rearwardly from the hopper between debris collecting and dumping positions. The hopper defines a chamber with an upwardly and rearwardly sloping rear wall and a top wall when in the debris collecting position. The single axis is elevated for a high dump configuration wherein a door in the chamber top wall may either be actuated between opened and closed positions or opened and closed by force of gravity. The single axis is positioned at a lower position for a low dump configuration wherein a door in the chamber top wall may either be actuated between opened and closed positions or opened and closed by force of gravity.
