Abstract A horizontal continuous casting device for the continuous casting of metal, more particularly steel, is provided with a storage vessel and one or more horizontal continuous casting moulds, the storage vessel being separable from the horizontal casting moulds and closed off. In the case of any deviation from the casting axis, due to the continuous casting mould or storage vessels being incorrectly aligned with the continuous casting lines, easy and rapid inter- changeability of one or more of the continuous casting moulds is ensured by providing connections, adjustable in relation to the casting axis, between the storage vessel and the mould. The storage vessel comprises a perforated brick with an inserted nozzle brick; the connection is adjustable in relation to the casting axis and bears sealingly against the end face of the nozzle brick.
