The inventive machine (10) for ripping horizontal logs makes it possible to optimise and automate wood ripping for producing wood pieces having a predetermined cross section and comprises a main frame (20) provided with a pushing device (30) and an assembly of knives (40) comprising a first series (50) knives and a second series of knives (60) which are perpendicular with respect to each other and arranged on the main frame. The knives of each series (50, 60) are mounted with variable gaps obtainable by adjusting devices (70, 80). The pushing device (30) comprises a movable carrier (31) consisting of an assembly of flat horizontal pieces (32) and an assembly of profiles (35) which a movable with respect to each other in such a way that it is possible to axially push a log towards a knife blade and to push wood pieces out of the knife when the log is ripped.
La machine (10) à fendre des tronçons allongés de bois permettant d'optimiser et d'automatiser le fendage du bois pour obtenir des pièces de bois de section prédéterminée comporte un bâti (20) sur lequel sont montés un dispositif de poussée (30) et un assemblage de couteaux (40) comprenant une première série de couteaux (50) et une seconde série de couteaux (60) perpendiculaires entre elles. Les couteaux de chaque série (50, 60) ont des écartements variables obtenus respectivement par deux dispositifs de réglage (70, 80). Le dispositif de poussée (30) comporte un chariot mobile (31) comprenant un ensemble de pièces plates horizontales (32) et un ensemble de profilés (35) mobiles les uns par rapport aux autres pour, d'une part, pousser un tronçon de bois sensiblement axialement contre le tranchant des couteaux et, d'autre part, pousser les morceaux de bois hors des couteaux lorsque le tronçon a été fendu.
