ABSTRACT A horse blanket is a generally L1-shaped cover bag comprising an undersheet and oversheet having an opening through which one or more inner blankets can be inserted for variable warmth. The opening in the bag is preferably along a line between the under and oversheet in the region of the horse's withers and is closeable by lines of corresponding hooped and hooked nylon in the opening. The inner blanket may also have similar line's of hooped and hooked nylon to be retained in the opening.
