ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention provides a hose with a heat cure type elastomeric tube where a remeltable layer coats at least a portion of the tube's inside surface, The remeltable layer defines a lubricant when a length of uncured tube is placed over a hot mandrel for curing. The remeltable layer eliminates the requirement to clean mica dust and/or lubricant from a cured hose during hose processing.
