A connector is for forming a connection between a pipe or other item having a threaded end and a length of hose. The connector comprises an elongate hose engaging element (5) and, located thereon, a collar (35) having a threaded portion (39) for engagement with a threaded pipe end. The connector is provided with sealing means (49) for sealing between the collar and the hose engaging element.
