ABSTRACT A hose fitting for connecting a hose to other pipe systems, for connecting two hose ends together, or for closing a hose end, particularly for use with high-pressure hoses with large diameter, with rein- forcement layers incorporated into the hose material, consisting in a metal nipple with at least one bearing sleeve, to which reinforcement layers are fixed. In order to achieve that the strength of the hose construction in the area of the fitting should not be decreased, and in particular that the internal pressure resistance should not-be lowered, the reinforcement layers in the entire area of the bearing sleeve are embedded in rubber or rubber- like material of high strength and low extensibility, the embedding material being firmly connected with the bearing sleeve. Hard rubber is the embedding material preferably provided.
