ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A hot air recirculation system for a building structure comprises an upper duct section extending along an upper part of the interior of the building. Inlets allow warmer air to enter the duct section and a fan flows the air towards a joining duct section. Thence the air is passed downwardly into a lower duct section for discharge into cooler regions of the building interior. A smoke and/or heat detector is activated when combustion products enter the duct section causing actuation of a flap valve which normally closes a vent passage whereby the combustion products are vented outside the building structure.
