ABSTRACT Hot-dipped zinc alloy coated steel products coated with a Zn-Al-Si-Mg alloy having a composition of from about 3.5 to about 5.0 wt% aluminum, from about 0.02 to about 0.5 wt% silicon, from about 0.01 to less than 0.05 wt% magnesium, and the remainder zinc with unavoidable impurities. Also disclosed are the method for making such coated products and the coating and/or fluxing composition used therein.
