Cette invention concerne un dispositif, qui comprend au moins un transformateur (1) ayant un rapport entre la bobine primaire (N1) et la bobine secondaire (N2) supérieur à un et comprenant une unité de commande (9) servant à commander la synchronisation et l'amplitude du courant primaire, ce dispositif étant utilisé pour chauffer une pièce de métal (4) devant être soumise à une opération de formage ultérieure.
