23443-419 ABSTRACT A readily meltable and processable hot melt adhesive or coating composition comprising 90 to 99.9 parts by weight of an at least partially amorphous poly-alpha-olefin having a softening point of 70-140°C, a density of less than 0.90 g/cm3, and a tensile strength of between 0.5 and 10 N/mm2, and 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of a functionalized graft copolymer of at least one olefin and an unsaturated carboxylic acid or derivative. The composition exhibits improved adhesion to poly- olefins and metals.
