Abstract of the Disclosure This invention relates to an improvement in an apparatus for treating printing plates with liquids which includes at least one treating station comprising at least one container means having an outlet for treating liquid, at least one means for applying treating liquid to a printing plate to be treated, and at least one pump means for pumping treating liquid from said container means to said means for applying treating liquid to a printing plate, said container means also serving as a collecting means for liquid running off of a printing plate during treat- ment, the improvement comprising water heater means having a hot water pipe connected between said heater means and said container means, valve means in said hot water pipe, and automatic control means adapted to actuate said valve means and said pump means in a predetermined sequence.
