ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A refrigerator having a humidity controlled pan assembly which includes a storage pan having an open top and a stationary cover inside the refrigerator for receiving the pan. A cover panel within the sta- tionary cover is movable back and forth along the top of the pan by a movable control mechanism and linkage between the control mechanism and the cover panel that moves the cover panel back and forth along the top of the pan in response to movement of the control mechanism. With this arrangement, the user of the refrigerator may move the control mechanism to increase or decrease the amount of ventilation and, thus, control the humidity inside the pan.
