A housing for optical components has a lower housing portion, and at least one holder for glass fibres, couplers and splices. It provides a housing that can flexibly be adjusted, and permits accommodation for an increased number of splices. This is achieved by using a holder for splices and couplers that is a separate component which can be snap-fitted onto the bottom of the lower housingportion.
