-- A HOUSING FOR RADIO FREQUENCY APPARATUS, MORE SPECIALLY ANTENNAS -- ABSTRACT A housing for radio frequency apparatus such as antennas is made up of ready-made shield elements which are put together for forming a cover or radom for the antenna. If moving supports in the form of metal frameworks for loads such as lifting gear or the like, are not to be used, it is necessary for loads to be fixed right on the hard foam shield, which may be made of polyurethane itself as a suppor- ting structure. For this purpose, at least some of the shield elements have support parts incast in them and made of a mate- rial with low attenuation properties with respect to radio frequency waves. Such a material may, for example, be glass fiber-reinforced synthetic resin or hard rubber. On the support parts, fittings may be placed for supporting the loads and the fittings, like the loads, for example in the form of a rail for supporting lifting gear, may be made of glass fiber-reinforced synthetic resin so as to cause little attenu- ation of radio frequency waves. Although the support parts are rooted only in the hard foam material of the shield ele- ments, a very high load supporting effect may be produced.
