Petrolisation relates to a method of producing crude petroleum from organic wastes. All kinds of organic wastes (for examples domestic wastes, vegetal residues, animal residues, residues from paper, wood, textile, plastic, rubber, even manure, rotting matters, used tires, etc.) can be thermolysed and hydrogenated using a combination of iron catalyst and a salt catalyst. Shredded and dried organic wastes are thermolysed and hydrogenated at not very high temperatures and not very high operating pressures without a significant consumption of hydrogen. The process takes less than one hour and yields a mixture of liquids like crude petroleum. Unlike previous processes that need specific kind of homogeneous organic waste through specific process to specific fuel, petrolisation is a universal process that accepts all kinds of heterogeneous organic wastes and yields various hydrocarbons with commercial value. Since crude petroleum is not renewable and not available everywhere, petrolisation solves these problems by using all kinds of renewable and everywhere available organic wastes as raw materials to make crude petroleum. The process yields five times more energy than it consumes, in other words, sufficient valuable crude to be a permanent source of crude petroleum. For example, one metric ton of organic wastes yields about 5 barrels of crude plus many other matters with commercial value. Moreover, this synthetic crude petroleum contains no sulphide. Petrolisation is also a profitable solution to organic waste disposal benefiting from recycling these useless wastes and eliminating the necessity of burning or destroying them in incinerators or dumps. Petrolisation is a self-sufficient process.
