The present invention provides a polynucleotide which identifies and encodes a human cell death-associated protein (cdap) which was isolated from a rheumatoid synovium library. The invention provides for genetically engineered expression vectors and host cells comprising a nucleic acid sequence encoding CDAP. The invention also provides for the therapeutic use of purified CDAP, cdap or its antisense molecules, or CDAP inhibitors in pharmaceutical compositions and for treatment of conditions or diseases associated with expression of CDAP. The invention also describes diagnostic assays which utilize diagnostic compositions comprising the polynucleotide, or fragments thereof, or antibodies which specifically bind to the polypeptide.
L'invention concerne un polynucléotide identifiant et codant une protéine humaine associée à la mort cellulaire (cdap) qu'on a isolé d'une banque constituée à partir de la synoviale rhumatoïde. L'invention concerne également des vecteurs d'expression obtenus par génie génétique et des cellules hôtes comprenant une séquence d'acides nucléiques codant CDAP. Elle concerne également l'utilisation thérapeutique de CDAP purifié, de cdap ou de ses molécules antisens, ou d'inhibiteurs de CDAP dans des compositions pharmaceutiques, ainsi que pour le traitement d'états ou de maladies associés à l'expression de CDAP. L'invention concerne, de plus, des méthodes diagnostiques mettant en application des compositions de diagnostic contenant le polynucléotide, ou des fragments dudit polynucléotide, ou des anticorps se fixant de façon spécifique au polypeptide.
