ABSTRACT This invention provides a human leucocyte pepsin-like enzyme and a therapeutic agent for treating allergic disorders, immune complex diseases and tumors, the agent containing the enzyme as an effective ingredient. The human leucocyte pepsin- like enzyme of this invention is a protein of human origin and, therefore, a therapeutic agent containing said enzyme as an effective ingredient shows extremely little adverse reactions such as anaphylaxis and thus is highly safe.
