The present invention discloses locomotion simulator comprising a base having a surface movable along a base axis, a post mounted to the base a pelvic structure and a hip-thigh mechanism wherein coordinated displacement of the pelvic structure and pivoting of the thigh segment assembly simulates patterns of locomotion. The pelvic structure includes a first support movably mounted to the post, the first support allowing a displacement of the pelvic structure along a first pelvic axis generally perpendicular to the base axis and a second support movably mounted to the first support, the second support allowing a displacement of the pelvic structure along a second pelvic axis generally parallel to the base axis. As for the hip-thigh mechanism, it is mounted to the second support and includes a hip joint having a pivot axis generally perpendicular to the displacement of the second support and a thigh segment assembly pivotally so connected to the hip joint as to pivot in a plan defined by the first and second pelvic axes.
La présente invention concerne un simulateur de locomotion comportant une base pourvue d'une surface mobile le long d'un axe de la base, un poteau fixé à la base, une structure pelvienne et un mécanisme hanche-cuisse, le déplacement de la structure pelvienne coordonné au pivotement de l'ensemble segment de cuisse simulant des schémas de locomotion. La structure pelvienne comporte un premier support fixé au poteau de façon mobile, ce premier support permettant un déplacement de la structure pelvienne le long d'un premier axe pelvien généralement perpendiculaire à l'axe de la base, et un second support fixé au premier support de façon mobile, ce second support permettant un déplacement de la structure pelvienne le long d'un second axe pelvien généralement parallèle à l'axe de la base. Le mécanisme hanche-cuisse est, quant à lui, fixé au second support et comporte une articulation de hanche, pourvue d'un axe de pivotement généralement perpendiculaire au déplacement du second support, ainsi qu'un ensemble segment de cuisse relié pivotant à l'articulation de la hanche, de façon à pivoter dans un plan défini par les premier et second axes pelviens.
