Novel human genes falling whithin the category of family genes relating to p53 gene which is known as a cell proliferation regulatory gene, and gene products thereof. A human p51 gene characterized by containing a base sequence encoding an amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1; a human p51 gene having a base sequence consisting of the 145- to 1488-bases in the sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:2; vectors containing these genes; host cells transformed with these vectors; a process for producing a p51 protein having the amino sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1; which comprises culturing the above host cells and harvesting the protein from the thus obtained culture; and the p51 protein having the amino acid sequence represented by SEQ ID NO:1.
L'invention porte sur: de nouveaux gènes humains de la catégorie de la famille de gènes parentes du gène p53 connu pour réguler la prolifération cellulaire, et leurs produits géniques; sur un gène humain p51 caractérisé par sa séquence de base codant pour une séquence d'acide aminé représentée par SEQ ID NO:1; sur un gène humain p51 caractérisé par sa séquence de base consistant en 145 à 1488 bases de la séquence représentée par SEQ ID NO:2; sur des vecteurs contenant ces gènes; sur des cellules hôtes transformées par ces vecteurs; sur un procédé de production d'une protéine p51 présentant une séquence amino représentée par SEQ ID NO:1, consistant à cultiver les cellules hôtes ci-dessus et à récolter les protéines de la culture ainsi obtenue; et sur la protéine p51 présentant la séquence d'acide aminé représentée par SEQ ID NO:1.
