A plurality of lighting structures is provided for enhancing the visibility of a human powered vehicle at night. The visibility enhanced human powered vehicle has a frame (12) with attached wheels (10) having tires including sidewalls (19). The safety lighting structures comprising at least one photo- luminescent section (18) and at least one reflective section (20) being located on at least one of the wheels (10). Light source (22) is attachable to the human powered vehicle to direct light against the photo-luminescent section (18).
