Human prostate cancer (CaP) cells secrete biological activities that recruit cells to differentiate into the osteoblast lineage. Conditioned medium (CM) produced by metastatic human CaP cells (DuCaP and VCaP) induced commitment and differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) into osteoblasts. CaP-CM induces cellular condensation into tissue-like aggregates. In turn, these tissue-like aggregates secrete and mineralize a bone matrix, forming bone outside the body (ex vivo). Thus, conditioned media and/or proteins isolated therefrom may be used to facilitate bone formation in fracture repair and bone diseases.

Les cellules du cancer de la prostate chez l'homme (CaP) entraînent des activités qui utilisent les cellules pour différencier la souche de l'ostéoblaste. Un milieu conditionné (CM) produit par des cellules CaP humaines métastatiques (DuCaP et VcaP) provoquent l'activité et la différentiation des cellules souches mesenchymateuses (MSC) dans des ostéoblastes. CaP-CM entraîne la condensation cellulaire d'ostéoblaste dans des agrégats semblables à des tissus. Ces agrégats semblables à des tissus sécrètent et minéralisent à leur tour une matrice osseuse, formant un os à l'extérieur du corps (ex vivo). Par conséquent, les milieux et/ou protéines isolé(e)s peuvent servir à faciliter la formation osseuse pour la réparation de fractures et pour les maladies osseuses.
