ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a humidifier comprising an evaporation chamber where a vertically directed inlet air stream is redirected and made turbulent to impact the surface of a pool of water and travel through a wicking material to exit the chamber in a vertical direction. The present invention also comprises a filter in the base unit thermally isolated from the heated pool.
