HUMIDIFIER FOR CONVECTION BASEBOARD HEATER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A humidification system for use with a baseboard style heater having a shallow, elongated convector casing, with extensive heat transfer surfaces therein, the system including a shallow evaporator tank combined with an external reservoir connected to the evaporator tank by way of a water level control. The evaporator tank is located above the fins and coils of the heater and has a deeply indented bottom portion to provide an extended heat transfer surface for rapidly heating a shallow layer of water within the evaporator tank. Convectional flow past the evaporator heat transfer surfaces is promoted by openings into the top of the evaporator. An adjustable cover on top of the evaporator regulates the air flow therethrough, and hence the degree of humidification. P12257-1
