ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved humidifier having a motor mounted in a permanent housing located above a reservoir. A disposable aerosol generator is releasably attached to the motor housing to extend downwardly into liquid within the reservoir and to be driven by the motor within the motor housing. When driven, a belt in the aerosol generator lifts liquid from the reservoir for atomization and mixing with outside air circulated through the aerosol generator.
