A sensor module 10 for an incubator 26 or other patient support 126 includes a temperature sensor 37,38,39 for sensing the temperature of the air within the interior 24 of the hood 13 of support 26, 126, a humidity sensor 36 for determining the relative humidity of air drawn from the hood 13, a temperature sensor 40 for determining the temperature of the air sensed by humidity sensor 36, and a correlator 86 for adjusting the sensed relative humidity to provide an indication of the relative humidity within the hood 13.
