A flow control valve system (20) has a housing (22) that defines a flow path (26), a throttle element (50) disposed in the flow path, and a linkage assembly (52) coupled to the throttle element and oriented substantially outside the flow path. With such an orientation, the linkage assembly has minimal effect on a pressure gradient or pressure drop within the flow control valve system. As such, the linkage assembly allows the flow control valve system to deliver fluid from a fluid input channel to a fluid output channel at a relatively large volume flow rate.

L'invention concerne un système de volet de commande de débit (20) comportant un boîtier (22) qui définit un passage d'écoulement (26), un élément régulateur (50) placé dans le passage d'écoulement, et un ensemble de liaison (52) couplé à l'élément régulateur et orienté sensiblement à l'extérieur du passage d'écoulement. Avec une telle orientation, l'ensemble de liaison présente un effet minimal sur un gradient de pression ou une chute de pression à l'intérieur du système de commande de débit. De ce fait, l'ensemble de liaison permet au système de commande de débit de délivrer des fluides à partir d'un canal d'entrée de fluide vers un canal de sortie de fluide à un débit volumétrique relativement important.
