A hybrid leaf spring includes an elongated primary leaf (12) having a compression surface (16), an opposite tension surface (14), and a first modulus of elasticity. At least one composite material layer (20,22) is provided having a second modulus of elasticity different from the first modulus of elasticity. An adhesive layer (42) is interposed between and bonds the at least one composite material layer (20,22) to and in substantially parallel relationship with a respective one of the tension (14) and compression (16) surfaces of the elongated primary leaf (12). A reinformcing layer (44) of natural, compression surfaces of the elongated primary leaf. A reinforcing layer of natural, synthetic or metallic sheet material extends within the adhesive layer (42), preferably in spaced relation to opposing surfaces of the primary leaf (12) and the composite material layer (20,22) to strengthen the bond formed the adhesive layer (42).
L'invention concerne un ressort à lames pourvu d'une lame primaire allongée présentant une surface de compression, une surface de tension opposée, et un premier module d'élasticité. On fournit au moins une couche de matériau composite présentant un second module d'élasticité qui est différent du premier. Une couche adhésive intermédiaire lie de manière sensiblement parallèle ladite couche de matériau composite à l'une des surfaces de tension et de compression de la lame primaire allongée. Une couche de renfort à base d'un matériau en feuille naturel, synthétique ou métallique s'étend sur la couche adhésive, de préférence à l'écart des surfaces opposées de la lame primaire et de la couche de matériau composite pour renforcer la liaison formée par la couche adhésive.
