A hybrid photomultiplier tube includes a photocathode (130), focusing rings (134, 136), a photodiode (132), and a collection anode (120) disposed in a detector body (110). A vacuum envelope (116) encloses a vacuum region between the photocathode (130) and the detector (110). Conductors (152, 154) disposed on or adjacent to a sidewall of the vacuum envelope (116) reduce the effect of electrical charges on the sidewall of the vacuum envelope (116) on the trajectories of electrons. An ion deflector electrode (167) is disposed adjacent to the photodiode (132) and extends photocathode operational life and improves noise factor.

Un tube photomultiplicateur hybride comprend une photocathode (130), des anneaux de focalisation (134, 136), une photodiode (132) et une anode collectrice (120) montés dans un corps détecteur (110).
