ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A sprocket assembly has a separately cast tooth-ring member formed of wear-resistant, powdered- iron material and a separately cast insert member made of lightweight, die-cast aluminum material. These separately cast members are fitted together axially in concentric relationship. A plurality of tongues and matching grooves extend axially of the members for interlocking the members against relative rotation about their common central axis. Abutting flanges interlock the members against relative axial displace- ment, after the members have been fitted together and one member has been forceably deformed. -1a-
