A hydraulic brake system (10) for operating service brakes (12, 14) and (16) is provided with first and second master cylinders (20, 22) which feed into input ports (26) and (28) of a valve (24). Dupli cate hydraulic circuits (30) and (34) are coupled with respective output ports (32) and (36) of the valve (24). Each of the hydraulic circuits (30) and (34) also includes a common circuit po rtion comprising a selective valve (44) and common line (42) leading to brake (16). The system (10) also includes hand brake (18) which is electrically deployed and manually released. A controller (52) controls operation of the system (10) to switch between master cylinders (20) and (22), and hydraulic circuits (30) and (34), depending on sensed fluid pressure. In the event of switching both master cylinders (20) and (22) to one of the hydraulic circuits (30) or (34), and a controller continuing to sense low fluid pressure, the common circuit is isolated. In the event of a sensed complete hydraulic failure, the controller (52) automatically deploys the park brake (18).
L'invention concerne un système de freinage hydraulique (10) permettant de faire fonctionner des freins au pied (12, 14, 16), dotés d'un premier cylindre moteur (20) et d'un second cylindre moteur (22), qui aboutissent au port d'entrée (26) et au port d'entrée (28) d'une soupape (24). Des circuits hydrauliques dupliqués (30 et 34) sont reliés à leur port de sortie respectif (32 et 36) de la soupape (24). Chaque circuit hydraulique (30, 34) comprend également une partie de circuit commune comprenant une soupape sélective (44) et une conduite commune (42) menant au frein (16). Le système (10) comprend également un frein à main (18) qui est déployé électriquement et libéré manuellement. Un dispositif de commande (52) permet de commander le fonctionnement du système (10) pour commuter entre les cylindres moteurs (20, 22), et les circuits hydrauliques (30, 34), en fonction de la pression fluidique détectée. Dans le cas où les deux cylindres moteurs (20 et 22) commutent sur l'un des circuits hydrauliques (30 ou 34), et où un dispositif de commande continue à détecter une pression fluidique faible, le circuit commun est isolé. Dans le cas où un dysfonctionnement hydraulique complet est détecté, le dispositif de commande (52) déploie automatiquement le frein à main (18).
